• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wiring Made Easy...is there such a thing?

Hello, I own a '14 RT S SE6 and want to add a Garmin 590LM using a ram mount. We use uClear HBC200 as our intercom system so no desire for the dongle or the BRP cradle. I assume I can't simply add loops to the ends of the bare wires of the wiring harness and attach them to my battery posts. If I tap into the positive wire and add an inline fuse, what amp should it be and then can I go right to the battery or is there another and better way to accomplish things? I have zip for experience in pulling things off the bike except for what used to be the oil panel.
Thanks!

The motorcycle mount/harness that comes with the Zumo 590 needs to be mounted somewhere and the location is up to you. The connections for the GPS are on the right side near the rear of the fuel tank. There is a stereo plug that plugs directly into the 590 harness and a 12V switched power plug that is for the GPS. How you make the connection from the 590 bare wires to the 12V plug is up to you.
