• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wiring Harness Against Sharp Fuel Tank Edge

MarkLawson

RT-S PE#0031
I had the side panels off the left side of my RT over the weekend and noticed that a wiring harness that runs along the seam of the fuel tank. That seem is sharp. They put some rubber along part of it, but as you can see from my pics, they missed where it rubs near the front corner.

Anyway, I wrapped several layers of black duct tape around the wiring harness in the right place to help protect it. Can't say it needed help, but I feel better about it now & you might agree.

My "fix".

Thanks for the tip. If it ever warms up here, I'll pull my panels and add some more protection here.

I don't remember seeing any of my wires hanging down like that but I would ziptie it away from that pipe for sure. :yikes:

Mine looked quite similar, but the wire was touching the plastic strip in both places. I wonder why this harness is so long on everyone's Spyder?
