• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My problem is I have a Buschtec trailer hitch and wiring and I purchased a non Buschtec trailer and am having a hell of a time finding the wires to hook to on my spyder.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Not sure the BRP wiring diagram will help you much. If you installed the Bushtec wiring harness, you'll need to take a volt meter and just figure out what wires do what--- should be easy enough to track down with the bike on. You should have ground, brake and one for each blinker. You should get a wiring diagram from the trailer manufacturer-- then just figure out what is supposed to plug where and wire the plug to match up to the Bushtec harness.

Thanks, I sent an e-mail to the trailer company. Hopefully they will respond soon. Driving me nuts.:gaah:

For a simple trailer like that--- you should have a ground (green), possibly a negative (black), and then 3 positives---- Brakes, Left turn, Right turn.

You can probably use a 9V battery and a couple of stripped wires to figure out what wires on the trailer--- Just run the negative of the 9V to the green or black--- and then try the positive on the other pins and see what happens.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I'm sure it's one of those simple things....... But sometimes it seems I can't find my azz with both hands.:yikes:

Anyway thanks a bunch.

Thanks a bunch, the 9v test worked just fine. I have brake lights, running lights, right turn signal, still have to work on left turn signal, that should be easy enough. You the man/women/:thumbup:

Forgot about the running lights-----

Glad the 9V test is working.
