• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wire harness for GPS. ??

I have decided to go with a Garman Nuvi 40LM GPS on my 2012 RT-S. I don't do alot of riding so I dont want to spend the moneu on a Zumo 660 etc.

I have purchased a wire harness that contains the mini USB plug on the one end for the GPS unit and the other end has the two wires for the connection to the battery. It also includes an in-line fuse for protection. I understand they say connect directly to the battery.

Can anyone give me advice if I should go directly to the battery or not?? What is the best way to tackle the wire installation ??

I'm thinking running the USB plug out on the lower handle bar that has that little tab that can be removed and pushed back in. Not sure what is behind this little tab??

Any comments/directions would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Riding.
