• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I feel like such an OLD guy. Christmas is almost here, and the grandkids are pinging off the walls, but our winters are SOOOO boring. Winter is a boring 41 - 30 and rain - no ice, no snow, no sun…. so my toys idle in the garage, getting warmed up every couple of weeks, and I'm relegated to looking at tour pics from the last couple of years….

My RT is fully farkled, my warranty runs until 2015, and I have less than no interest in the new bikes…. I still prefer going to the Honda or Hardley shop and admiring the hardware.

I guess I need to find another V65 Magna and restore it, for some fun. Aren't many old bikes that are worth the effort, but that is one - or perhaps an old oil-head Beemer… OH, Santa….

Methinks that your cup of eggnog is empty; go fill it up; hit Can Am's Spyder website, and build new Spyders to your heart's content! :2thumbs:

No problems are GOOD. Take Bob's suggestion and have another egg nog for each of us. :2thumbs:

And: HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Multiple level cloud deck, covering 2500 up to 18000 ft, with severe icing. Having limited deicing, keeps that toy in the "garage" too… for now…. nothing like cold air flying tho...

Until your eyeballs freeze...
Eggnog, warm fire, Christmas music playing, Spyder website up and building fresh bikes... :2thumbs:

Winter Blues

Finally got on my spyder after 6 weeks. I was getting a little ansy. Between the weather and getting ready for Christmas I just didn't have the time. I was able to get to use my new Gmax 67S helmet along with my Kolpin handlebar mitts. The temperature was a balmy 33 degrees and I had a great 20 mile ride. Just around the neighborhood with speeds between normal stop and go and then up to 50 mph. The RT-S offers more wind resistance than my Yamaha Venture ever did and the handlebar mitts worked great for my hands. A pair of thin insulated gloves without the heated grips being on and I felt great. I can't wait for a longer ride when I get the time. Looking forward to Spring but I don't intend to hibernate until then. Got plenty of warm clothing and handlebar mitts that would work out just fine.

I Like My XL G Max 67s and just ordered the smoke shield and Jaw piece that makes it modular. Just wish it was anti fogging!
You would like the Bell Mag 9 2012 Model because it fits like the G Max and has the drop down visor and Anti-Fog windshield.

Did manage a 100 mile ride last week, and it will take me three weeks to get the RT clean from the damp roads - (all the rubbish tossed by the back tire). Also took the Columbia for a quick spin - cold, smooth, and CAVU - Mt Saint Helens, to Astoria, to Tillimook, and home - 54 minutes, chocks to chocks….
