• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today i purchased a adjustable windshield for my RS...Finally no more being a bobble head and yet have a sporty windshield..bought it from MADSTAD here in Florida...Thanks Mark for designing this windshield, was about to sell the Spyder after countless worthless windshields..:2excited:

:congrats:

The Madstad gets very good reviews. I am glad to hear it helped solve your issues and is keeping you from selling your Spyder.

Mark totally rocks...I've spoken with him several times...when I add my shield later this year, that will be the one I add, no question! Enjoy...you made a quality purchase!

The higher windshields have always been my favorites. The stock one looks sporty--but I got rid of it after about 50 miles. You picked a good brand--have heard nothing but good about them.

I had a Madstad on my 2-wheeler and really liked it. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it is a PITA to adjust. You have to use a hex wrench to make the adjustments, so if you're trying to find that sweet spot, you're gonna find yourself pulling over a few times, pulling out the hex wrench, adjust the windshield, then tighten. I like that you can make it a touring windshield or a sporty one. Enjoy the new shield! :2thumbs:

That's not a big deal...far better than getting a shield and being stuck with it. At least with the Madstad, you can find a sweet spot...I also don't think you'll be adjusting it much once you find your favorite spot!

Can anyone guess my thoughts on this topic ??? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Purchased the Madstad. Rode about 20 miles with it and put it back in the box in the garage. Maybe I'm missing something, but tried it with looking over the windshield and through the windshield. Didn't feel comfortable either way. Also feel it is hard to adjust.:(

Hey Dennis, I've got my Madstad adjusted so that I look right over the top. I set the angle to match the slope of the Mounting plate. Yes they are a little difficult to adjust, hold and tighten up. This set up looks the best to me and works pretty well. Let me know if I can help. I'll take some pics at different angles to show how its adjusted. Dennis
