• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windshield

Drove out to Oak Grove, MO this past week and purchased a tall windshield from Mark at California Scientific.
Interesting experience but did enjoy his manufacturing processes. Now, I have an extra stock windshield. If anyone is wanting a BRP windshield but doesn't want to pay full price, let me know. I will sell for half price + shipping.

Does California Scientific sell these 'on-line' or by phone and how much? How much larger (little hard to tell in photo)?

You can buy them online. $250 bucks. Not cheap but over the life of the bike, probably worth it for me. I drove to California Scientific so I could try on the various sizes.
Note: If you have rotated the handlebars like I did to get a more relaxed and upright riding position (see one of my earlier posts in January), the cutouts Mark put in for the handgrips will not align. I can live with it but buyer beware. The wheels have to be pointing perfectly straight to open the glove box but that was of no real concern to me. The quality is good... Optically clear without any wavy refractions. Mark said most go for the medium size but I went bigger to direct as much wind as possible over my head. I don't mind looking through a windshield as long as it is optically clear. The one I purchased is probably 5-6" taller than the stock windshield and almost twice as wide.

Next is the floorboards... Once those are on, she should be ready for some moderately long 2-up trips.

If anybody else wants a stock BRP Ryker windshield I also have a used one that I will sell for $115 shipped. I bought the same CalSci windscreen that CTAC did.
