• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2015 RTS and I want to paint the Windshield support frame black like to 2016's are ,what paint did you use ? I would think it is power coated from the factory ,how did you prep it ? I talk to a guy that can power coat it ,but I have to take it off and leave it and sometime in the next 60 days he will get to it...

I have seen some pictures here that have been blacked out.

I think that I've heard of folks using everything from Plasti-Dip, to Rustoleum.
Personally: I would think that paint designed for use on Grilles, should work fine.

VERY HARD SURFACE

I have used this method to create a much HARDER paint surface ......Use a Lacquer or Acrylic paint of your choice after it is dry enough to touch it without leaving prints .....put it on something that you can put in your oven .....get oven to about 300 and put the thing in for 15 minutes ...turn oven off and let it cool in oven for 1/2 hour .......I find the paint is much more resistant to scratches etc.........Mike ..........PS turn the exhaust fan on if you have one......although it doesn't really smell much.....:bbq:

I have used Rust Oleim which is a great paint. X2 flat black , do not have to do anything but wipe it off and paint. Tough paint dosn't wear off..................

I used Simi gloss rust oleum it chips, when I get sick of touching up I will sandblast it and then paint with some Napa auto paint, they sell aerosol cans

I had mine powder coated! Remember one thing! If you go cheap, it will chip!
60 days waiting? I'll find someone else! If you don't ride all year, make it a winter project!
