• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windshield removal

if I remember correctly 4 cover screws..Not Hard to remove. 4 more screws to get the window off. 4 hole grommet to remove then put on a new wind shield. Put back together = EASY

Disclaimer must be handy with tools

2 screws for the front covers (T-25 I Know) and 4 screws for the windshield (T-30 I Believe). Do not remove the rubber grommets from the windshield.

You do have to remove the rubber grommets if you do not have a spare set. I have changed mine about 4 times (once just last week). The entire switch took about 15 minutes, including switching out the rubber grommets. The little metal piece in the center of the rubber grommet must be removed before removing the grommet. Be careful that they do not fall out and get lost.

Google windshield removal can am spyder. First 2 results are good. Both Finless Bob and F4 Customs have short videos on this. I am going to be installing a Shorty Windshield on my RT soon and just looked this up yesterday to prepare.

Windshield Removal

Just be very careful when removing the chrome front piece you don't twist it or you will put a scratch in the windshield.

Just cover up all of the places where screws WILL fall and disappear... nojoke
When you remove the chrome covers, you'll have to slide them down in order to release the locking tab. Put a playing card underneath the bottom edge of them in order to prevent scratching the windshield.
