• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The MadStad windshield SYSTEM made my RS ridable for me (I'm a tall guy). I can't say enough good things about the system or the owner.

The brackets offer unlimited adjustments, are strong, and well made. I purchased the 22" windshield for my old RS, as that was as tall as he had, at the time. I understand that he offers a 24" windshield now. If you're tall, I would opt for the taller one - otherwise, the 22" is great.

Madstad

Thanks for that....
I have been checking and that looks to be the one to buy. I am 6'2" and want a taller
shield I get tons of wind buffeting and noise on the spyder... I don't have that trouble
with any of my motorcycles.

I also have the Madstad shield mounted on my '08GS. I'm 5'10 and have the 22" smoked shield. The brackets may take several times to adjust to your riding comfort, but once you get it right, I really think you'll like it. (If not......sell it)

Dave, The Madstad is an excellent choice. I've used it for about three years now and like it alot.

There is only one member on the forum that is a real stickler about tall windshields, and thats Arntufun. My advise to you is not to even respond to his comments when he talks smack about tall windshields.

Why the taller windshield?

So did you all buy the taller shield because the wind was too cold or because the wind was too strong? I got on the expressway for the first time a few days ago and felt I would get blown off the spyder and I'm no little guy.

Grady, if you are coming to the Christmas party saturday, I'll let you take mine for a ride so you can see the difference. Hope to see you there.

Thank you

That would be great. I plan to come but I have to get approval from my boss...not the one who pays me money, but the one who controls my money(Laila's mom). :roflblack:
