• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone help me out with narrowing my decision on what windshield to purchase??? There are so many now. I don't know what the differences are anymore... Are the F1 Evolution III any good. I was on the verge of getting this until I started looking around and ran across so many different ones... Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!!!:dontknow:

re

I have tried many. Both of the original brp windsheilds, calsic and now the F1 Slider. So far, the slider is by far the best for me.

Thanks,
vwatso

Just making your decision harder. Givi at $130 is a nice looking and functional shield if you are not over 5" 10".

:agree:

The CalSci is also very nice. Both the Givi and CalSci are made of DOT approved Polycarbonate. The F1 toenails are made of Arcryllic.

I think the Givi is the best looking shield, while F1's are not appealing at all. The Calsci falls somewhere in between (looks wise).

I had an F1 and hated it. Never got $$$ back from Marcel, so I'm obviously biased against his company and don't trust him.

I don't think anyone that has bought a CHAD from Industries 7 has been disappointed. I'm not too keen on their looks, but they do seem to work great.

If you're under 5'10" I think the Calsci XL or the Givi would work well. If you're over that - go with the CHAD.

Just my .03

I had the original F1 and it worked well for me. I won the F1 EVI III in a contest and I really like it and it works very well for me. I even like the look of it on my spyder. My husband has the F1 Slider and seems to like that because he has options for riding around town with it low and on the highway with it extended. Other than the BRP stock and touring shields we have not tried the others. The look is a personal thing. As great as the reviews are for the CHAD and Cal-Sci, I don't really care for the look of those or the Rifle for that matter. I do however like the new Givi and it is priced right. I would have to ride with it before I gave up my EVO III though.

I would try the CalSci if given the right opportunity. I almost had that opportunity on a used CalSci a few weeks back but someone else beat me to it.
