• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi Everyone!
It's almost December, and yes, I'm still riding here in Massachusetts:yes:. My ryde is a 2010 RT-A in Orbital Blue (with a few mods of course!), and I was wondering.. Does anyone know of a shorter windshield that would be compatible? Trying to think of a mod to do over the :cus: winter.:roflblack: I just invested in a full face modular helmet, so my season's even longer now! Any thoughts on the windshield?????

CalSci.com Has some real Nice RT Windshields Lower than your 2010 version.

This past summer I installed the 23" BRP RT Touring windshield Part#219400243. I really like it lots of air flow all around you and since its adjustable in the full up position it is still over my head as I am 5'8'' tall. for 2013 BRP has come ot with a vented windshield like a Honda gold wing windshield part#219400360 .Both windshields are 23" tall .

The 2011 and later RT's all have a shorter (and lighter) windshield.

I wound up trading my larger 2010 windshield with a member on here who wanted the taller one, and I got the smaller one.

I had the dogbone fail on my windshield motor. I've always suspected that BRP went to a smaller windshield in later models to reduce the stress on the windshield adjustment mechanism due to these failures.

I never had the larger windshield raised to the full extent. I always had it low enough to just look over it.

With the later model windshield, when raised full I get exactly the same effect. With the windshield down all the way, I get more air in the summer.

In the past, I've cut windshields using a dremel with good success. Cutting yours might be an option also.

2010 A&C here as well...
The stocker is about 27"
fFor 2011, they shortened them to 25", and offer a 23" as an accessory.
Cal Sci and F4 both offer some pretty nice options

'Tis the Season for Farkling... Falala-lala, la-la, La-la!
