• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

windsheild protectants?

Newbie syder owner here. Have an RT limited. Any thoughts on applying "rain X" to the windshield?

I never had a good experience with Rain X , Just me but i found out it starts to build up on the windshield and leaves [etches] a diffuse patten when sunlight or head lights shine though the shield'.

Not sure if that is safe for use on non-glass surfaces like that of a m/c windshield.

I've been using ProtectAll and am pleased with it.

Pretty sure rain-x says not to use it on anything but glass. That being said I use it on my mine and my helmet shield. As long as you keep it applied I don't notice any problems.

I would never use that stuff again, i applied rainx to a Toyota a few years back, i found that microscopic grit sticks to it. So when you use the wipers it scratch microscopic marks in the windscreen over time the windscreen is ruined. The clare at night through the micro swirls made it impossible to drive, after I got the screen replace it lasted 4 times as long with out the rainx.

Just my 2cents.

Rain X :dontknow: Not sure on plastic. I've used a product called Plexus for years on ll plastic and painted surfaces AND windshields on my bikes. Amazing stuff repels water great and shines deep on paint. Available at any good bike shop.

This is excellent information on the proper way to clean your motorcycle windshield by a reputable company that makes aftermarket motorcycle windshields. They make the Tulsa windshield.

I cannot recommend this method and the 210 Cleaner-Polish too much. It has worked for me for about 10 years now. I use that product for all cleaning now in place of Plexus. It works as well and it's much less expensive too.

This is where I usually buy it. Seems to be good pricing.
