• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

VICKER.... go to LOWE's/HOME DEPOT, buy yourself a sheet of Lexan, and give it a try... actually, it's relatively easy... TOOLS: HEAT GUN, ELECTRIC DRILL, BELT SANDER, BAND SAW, deburring tool, card-board, tape and a few hours and you'll ryde off with a new wind screen...
if you need 'exact details' PM me and i'll walk you thru...

I love your garage! Very nice. Do you have a coffee and soda machine in it too? (LOL) :2thumbs:

HALF

Nice work Dan! It's fantastic to see something totally "one off"

DREW, half the fun of owning a SPYD3R, is rydyng, the other half is building MOD's for it... if the weather is not right to ryde, then get your brain in gear, and MAKE SOMETHING.... :ohyea:

Dan, looks good. I especially like the upturned edge on the top. If I didn't know better, I'd say you bought it from some European MC Store!

Nice job..!!

Hope you let us know how it works on the road..your garage looks like my living room nice. Gives me an idea for a new thread.:2thumbs:

It tried to snow today, just COLD, I'll go to work at 40 degrees, but 26 degres I draw the line. Hopefully it will get warmer soon.

DIDN'T

CHUPACA.....
it worked gr8, diverting the air up-and-over my head, and around my hands (too cold for testing without a helmet n gloves)... but it failed @ 57 MPH, it started to twist... NOT GOOD...:banghead: back to the drawing board...
the side edges are bent toward the front to divert air going by my hands... i'll need to 'heat n bend' those so they will face toward the rear, and take another ryde (once i warm up)...
also, i used .100 (or 1/10") material... i think i may need to go to the next level up, which is .232"... this is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to work with when it comes to bending...

Rev. "B"

Hope you let us know how it works on the road..your garage looks like my living room nice. Gives me an idea for a new thread.:2thumbs:

Chupaca.... Rev. "B" worked gr8.... now looks like crap b'kuz of all the heat... this material can only take so much... i had it up to 85 and it was stable as an OEM... i sensed less air 'over' and more air to the 'sides'... but far less than the tiny OEM unit... on the final unit, i'll have less horizontal 'air dam'... maybe 1" versus the current 2.5"...

now that i know the 'perfect' configuration, i'll get some .232 material and fab a final unit...
Rev. "B" included, turning the sides to the aft... and rolling the top a bit more... note: anytime you add a radii, you increase strength...

check out the new pix...
