• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wind Rider Seat Cover - Anyone have one? Any feedback?

I am looking for something to cover the wear/rips in my seat for my 2017 F3-L. I looked at Ultimate Seats as a possibility, but I would like to use the funds for more fun stuff like performance shocks. Anyone have one of these covers and can provide feedback? Here is the site:

Note: I searched on the forum and did not see any chatter about them. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jim

My seat is not ripped at all, but I like the look of the covers. I find the seat quite comfortable, but sweaty after an hour or so, aka monkey butt. They don't list one for ours, so I emailed them a request, we'll see what happens. Not a bad price either, if it holds true, CAN $117

Please check out this web page:

https://www.air-flowseatcovers.com/.

They sell seat covers for Spyders. No, I am not affiliated with them, but a friend bought one for his Indian, and he swears by it for cool comfort while riding.

Quite a bit of difference in price $120 to CAN $163, but they do list it, where the others didn't. Looks to be the same style fabric.

Got this reply from Windrider, think I'll wait 'till it's in production:

Hi Mike,

Thank you for reaching out to us. In order to assist you with finding a seat cover that will fit your bike, we will need the measurements of your seat from staple to staple as shown in the video. Please provide the dimensions in text format (length from staple to staple = XXXX Width from staple to staple = XXXX)
and let us know if you have a stock or aftermarket seat.
We would like to request a photo or two of the top side of the seat as well to understand the shape. Additionally, could you please send us a photo showing the underside of the seat? This will help us ensure the best fit for your seat cover.

To help you take the necessary measurements, we have included the following links:
FOR A SPLIT SEAT BIKE:
FOR A 1PC CURVED SEAT:
FOR A 1PC SEAT:

We look forward to receiving your response and helping you find the perfect seat cover.

You can try this one for size. I used them last summer and I think they are close knit enough to cover tears. They definitely keep the butt cooler than sitting on the seat. This became evident in the colder autumn months of riding.

Side question, if I may: Since the primary goal of these covers is to provide airflow and keep your butt cool, would I be correct in assuming that it renders the heated seat useless?

So far, I've stayed away from these solutions since I have too many days on the road where I enjoy the heated seat in one part of the ride and desperately need the airflow on another. They don't look like they are easy on/off to change multiple times during a day.
