• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need to get a small 90cc two-wheel motorcycle from Lake Worth, FL to anywhere near Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri or Kansas and I'll meet you. Prefer enclosed transport. Call or text Gary at 408-427-5309 or email [email protected] Thank you.

Thank you all for the references for uship. I will give them a try. HOWEVER, I wasn't clear why I posted my request. I would much rather pay
hundreds of dollars to a Spyderlovers member to transport the bike (if they're already plannng a trip from FL to the central US) than pay a company.

Having never used Uship before, can you tell me if $474 is a fair price to ship a small 185 pound 90cc scooter 1300 miles?

gary, post it on Uship and you can even request the price you want to pay. Or they will bid on it. I'm sure someone with room for it and a full load would take it on. Just make sure you check "references".

Good luck.

That seems a little high. I had a company transport a full size Harley for me from Seattle, Washington to Little Rock, AR. (2,326 miles) for $510.

I used uShip.

Spyder3, it is already posted on Uship. The $474 bid is the lowest I've received, the others are much higher. I'm trying to decide whether to wait for better bids or take the $474.

Larrymz3 , maybe because you shipped to and from major cities it less expensive.

Gary, you can negotiate with them if you think thats too high...Make sure the guy is reputable and say...look, i want to use your company but i have another bidder for 400.00. Something like that...

The deal is done. Apparently the Uship system works like buying a car (or a house or a Spyder)...you haggle. You raise your bid, the shippers lower their offers, you go back and forth, eventually you get to the point where a shipper is willing to do the job, in my case, for $100 less than he originally offered a few days ago.

Thanks for all your support and advise.

This 1972 perfectly-restored Suzuki RV90J Rover should be in my garage soon. I had one identical to it 40 years ago:
