• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will Doc make it to Chicago on the "Silver Dream"?

Will Doc make it to Chicago on his turboed Spyder?

  • No way, he'll try and blow it up the first hour he rides it.

Just talked with Doru about his new turboed Silver Dream. Now this thing has 80,000+ miles on it already and now he's added a turbo to it. That right there is pushing it but now take into account how Doc drives his Spyder :yikes: and you got to wonder if he'll be riding his old turboed RS to Chicago or his new RT. :dontknow: Can he control himself long enough to save this motor till the event? :lecturef_smilie: What do you think? :D

I think he'll make it-- and beat the crap outta it the whole way--- but I think it will handle it. The Silver Dream has been trained to handle such abuse for 80,000 miles.

Clearwater West Coast Power Sports mechanics (Joe and Ben) opinion: :read: less than 48 hours...:yikes:

How much boost? I need to know this before I vote ......

5-7 lbs ... he will make it and it will last a good long time (even with Doc driving)

Over 10lbs I will likely hear the BOOM from my house (50 miles away)

My vote is the RT for the trip. I voted for him trying to kill it, but I don't think he will. He will test it hard, for sure. Doc's use would be the acid test for any machine, but he researches his products well, and doesn't install anything he doesn't think will take hard riding. One thing is for sure, if he does ride the turbo, he will make it in record time...and he probably already holds the record! :2thumbs:

Sorry Doc,

I voted that you will blow it up within the first hour trying to break the land speed record! :2thumbs:

DOC will make it...but he is going to push it a bit,
to see how it runs :2thumbs:

I am rooting for you DOC, now don't let me down

I sheepishly think (Or hope? hmmmm) that he will have self control, ride it to the event... Enter it in some "Off the record" race... And then blow it up :yikes::roflblack::ohyea::yes::bowdown: :firstplace:

Maybe someone will tow a trailer behind their RT and give him a ride back home afterwords?

he wil make it , I do think doc will push it and a have some good feedback for everyone else that does not have a turbo tech building his differently.

Grip it and rip it doc.

I will be bringing the tow rope and have a trailer stationed in north carolina, just in case. I vote for ryding the RT and trailering the Silver Dream behind it.

Hummm i Interesting thoughts..
Talked to Doc this day and he told me out the door he posted 118 mph in 3rd and burnt rubber going to 4th.

If I were a betting man, which, ha ha ha, I am not, I think two weeks before we leave, with no rain or pot holes full of water, and the same goes for the trip to the windy city, he will make it on the silver dream.

:joke: However, I will help Dave tow him, if neccessary..:joke: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:

I have faith in the Florida Express. Its downhill all the way to the windy city......:joke::roflblack:

Unless he modifies the setup to go beyond the recommended boost, he should be fine. The AC guys assured me their system makes sure things are running within safe parameters and that this engine can take the extra stress.

I'm betting he makes it. But not in record time. The urge to push it "a bit" is sure to be overwhelming, buying him two additional "rest stops" at speed traps.
