There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Will a snapped off antenna effect DESS/Security?

hyea: As for your antenna, if you "...snapped off my antenna...", then I'd guess that to be able to do that, it'd hafta be the RADIO antenna on the rear of the bike, which means it won't have any impact on your Spyder's DESS.
(Probably won't have much impact on the poor radio reception either! :sour: ) The DESS antenna is a small ring type antenna that's pretty much embedded in the surrounds of the ignition key, so it's not all that easy to get to.
I don't think you'd be able to accidentally snap that one off without doing some major trauma to your Spyder?! :shocked: So you should be good as far as the DESS antenna is concerned. :thumbup:But while you're here, what year & model is your Spyder?? That may have a bearing on your potential exposure to any DESS issues or not; plus, it's a handy thing to know for those members considering replying to any questions you might raise. laidil, NO, it will not effect DESS the next time you start up your bike. Your broken antenna is on the back of your spyder.
