• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why Would My Radio Do This...??

When I have my radio on AM, FM or FX and I clear my throat, mutter, sing with a song, etc, the audio cuts off until I am quiet. I have tried this several times and it happens every time. I do not have a VOX that I am aware of and if I have my CB on and speak without pushing the Push to talk button, it does not transmit as a VOX would. I have not pushed my mic away from my mouth and at 70mph it the wind noise on the mic cuts off the audio. Weird. Any ideas?

You do in fact have VOX. You will have to change the sensitivity setting. VOX only works in the intercom mode. The CB only transmits if you push the PTT button.

1. Current channel
2. CB communication status:RX (receiving), TX
(transmitting) and OFF
3. Squelch adjustment
4. Volume adjustment
5. Intercom volume adjustment (i-com)
6. Voice activation sensitivity adjustment (vox)

Thanks, Steve. Another gentleman sent me a PM with the same info. My question to him was if I turn down the VOX, will it affect the CB transmission when I use the PTT? I guess not...anyway, thanks.

Oh, do I put it all the way up (+) or all the way down (-)?

To tell you the truth, I cant remember. My bike is in the shop getting all the silver painted parts powder coated to black, so I cant go out and check. Sorry my friend.

It is easy to figure out. Turn on the music, talk, and adjust. If the music mutes, go the other way. You can do it faster than you can talk about it. :D

I got it. Thanks to all. Hey, guess what? I read the instructions....!!

It is hell getting old. Don't do it! It is bad for your health.....
