• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why no Elka's listed for the 13's

Been on Elka's web site and they don't even offer them for the 13's. I know people have them but why are they so hard to find? Pitbull has some but nothing with any custom spring rates just stock replacements. I'm a big guy 6'4" and 295lbs. so pretty sure I need stiffer springs.

I just call the number on the website. I ask for Jon. I will look and see if I have his contact info also.

Not to sound too stupid here, will the replacement shocks affect the alignment?

I PM'ed Lamont but so far have got no reply. That though has crossed my mind knowing that I may be headed down this weekend to get an alignment. I know that the shocks are money well spent, also know they will help with my bottoming out. I'm a big guy and the front shocks offer no adjustment. I spoke with the people at Elka this morning and there is a good possibility I will have them before I leave, I hope. If not then we will just see what Lamont thinks.

Elka's installed on the 2010's thru 2012's raised the ride height which in turn changed the nominal toe-in. Some think that may be one factor that helped improve the straight line stability. Jon at Elka or Len should be able to tell you if the ride height of the 2013's is affected by the Elka's. If not, then alignment should be fine I would think. If the height changes, the toe-in will probably change, too.

And if the height changes, you'll probably have to re-adjust the headlights.

Good point. I forgot to mention that. I recorded my headlight patterns on the wall before installation and then made them the same after the install. Easy to do as long as you have the starting point.

I've had Elka's on my ST-L since the day I purchased it from PitBull in March '13....when Spyderpops did the Laser alignment last weekend...right side dead on and left side 1/8 inch out...almost perfect....thanks to PitBull installing Elka's.....thanks to Spyderpops too....

Char,
Have you had any more success with the leanness, erratic running, and overheating conditions?
I hoping that you have!
