There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Why I'm NOT Buying a 2014 RT

My wife and I have been watching this car since Chevy announced it last summer. It's a 2014 Chevy SS. As opposed to being a trim package for an existing model, the SS is now its own model. It is a rear wheel drive performance sedan, has an LS3 Corvette engine / transmission, puts out 415 HP bone stock and has a top speed of 160+ MPH. It is made in Australia by Holden for Chevy and they're only importing 4000 of them.

On top of that, I was one of the lucky ones who got a 2013 RT without the heat issues. With the modifications I've done over the winter, it is now running really well, so between that and the SS, the new RT will have to wait for a few more years :)

I don't think that anyone here will argue with your choice and logic. Chevy is making some good stuff--AGAIN! I had a 64 Super Sport back in the day.

ss

The chevy ss is a great car....it looks great has lots of power and rear wheel drive. Great move on a great car...enjoy just don't forget about the spyder!

I'm trying to be more positive in life, so I say if it's to your liking GO FOR IT!

Out here, they are using our tax dollars to build charging stations for plug in cars along I5 from California to Canada..... when they build a SS Hybrid, we might see one out here...

Below is the Oregon "approved" trike of choice.....

Don't worry, the Spyder is still number one. On nice days, the Spyder is still my commuter to and from work. My wife takes the SS and lets her Jeep sit.

And I just contributed $1300 to that cause by paying a "gas guzzler" tax. That is very confusing to me because the car is averaging 19 MPG which is better than the vast majority of SUVs that are out there which don't have the tax.

Be careful buying a rebadged Holden from GM. Ask 05 and 06 GTO owners about parts availabilty.....and you thought BRP was bad.

Great car Stewart / you're not gonna have problems getting parts either :) Nice choice !!

Why not? Maybe not today...but probably later. My GTO wasn't cheap to insure for that reason..parts from Australia. I knew people that waited MONTHS and MONTHS for things like floor pans after an accident. GTOs came in to the country in larger numbers too. The unions capped them at like 16K/yr. 4K/yr is far less.

It's just something to consider if you plan to keep a car like this for a long time. 2 or 3 years and it won't matter. GM needs to stop letting the unions run that company. Holden makes some damn good cars that I'd love to see in the US. Very nice performance cars with build quality that surpasses most of what comes out of the US plants.

This site is not unlike so many because some people act like they know what they are talking about when in fact they don't :) The GTO production was capped because of production commitments to other models and had NOTHING to do with unions.. I had an 06 GTO too and had no problem getting parts and basically drove the car for free after the yearly $500 dollar insurance cost.. Stewart got a nice new car and it'd be nice to congratulate him an move along,,,, but like most everything ,,some people w an EYORE COMPLEX " Winnie the Pooh reference " are compelled to insert their own experience as EVERYONES or make negative comments.. Your statements about the production cap being union driven are absent of fact and offensive,, period..
