• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why Change OEM Heim Joints?

What does the metal ones offer that the OEM doesn't?

I seldom have read of Heim joint failures, so why change?

Is it mainly peace of mind?

Peace of mind, and I've seen people post pics of broken ones.

I didn't want one breaking and having to make it back home w the swaybar bashing around underneath on the way back.

There has been some reports of broken OEM joints. I did it just because it makes sense when putting a beefier Bajaron bar, to also have beefier Heim joints. JMHO. :doorag:

As I see it..!!

Security. There were some and I stress some that were faulty. Those were replaced with a better one. Now if you add the BajaRon sway bar you are increasing the tension and I would recommend the metal him joints. If not your fine with the updated composite ones..!!

Hi Gene,

Re: Now if you add the BajaRon sway bar you are increasing the tension and I would recommend the metal him joints.

Sort of depends on what you are riding. I asked Ron via email about Heim joints for my '08 and he said that I do not need them.

I went with his sway bar only.

Whats a him joint?

Dont answer that lol

If you're just adding the end links; it's more for piece of mind... and knowing that you've got the best parts on the bike!
If you're adding a stiffer anti-swaybar; it should be considered as a necessary addition.
