• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got this off of another forum, Road star Raider.

Been riding for 40+ years, Most times i wave, Sometimes i don't, Most times others wave, sometimes others don't, Who cares, And why would you care? But when you see a biker on the side of the road, Instead of just waving do you stop and ask if they need any help.?

8. They had to wake up their passenger to tell them to wave too.

Well...
7. If they take their left hand off the grip, they'll never be able to get it back so that they can find the right buttons for all of the functions.
6. They were playing with the windshield height adjustment and didn't notice you...
3. They haven't had their DPS replaced yet and don't want to let go of anything "just in case".

Excellent humor and they nailed it by type of vehicle.

Reality in Alaska: Most bikers do the return wave--except for the following:

Sport bikes: pretty much all of them do not return or initiate a wave.

HD's: I would say about 30% of them will initiate or return a wave.

GW & Cruisers: Almost all either initiate or return a wave.

sportbikes

i get snubbed by nearly ALL sportbikes. most harleys wave or wave back. they ALL look at me like they can't believe they're seeing a SPYDER in person.:spyder2::yikes:

I'd say only about 30% of Harleys wave back at me. Some start to wave then stop when they see I'm on a Spyder. Sportbikes for me are about 50/50.

I might get about 50% waves from the Hawgs...
Sportbikes are a bit less.
Wingers; it's 100% along with a wave and a grin... :2thumbs:
Beemers; maybe a third of them act sociable... :dontknow:
