• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whole lot of shaking going on - Harrypotter and the Myans ?

They do...happen all the time. This is different....it's a very concentrated swarm that's happening one after the other just on the edge of the San Andreas fault southern most end. This many, this fast so concentrated,,,,,is not the norm. :yikes::roflblack:

OH...........................
So how much banging and knocking of the earth is considered normal ??
We had our 100 year earthquake last year, so I'm just wondering out loud...............................

Are you still there????? Maybe it's time for a quick vacation . . . . elsewhere??? :dontknow:

Still here :roflblack:

As along as all the californians stay with old california, thats fine by me.

No problem here. As the old saying goes.....hav'nt lost anything there and don't plan to.

Each year the southern California area has about 10,000 earthquakes. Most of them are so small that they are not felt. Only several hundred are greater than magnitude 3.0, and only about 15-20 are greater than magnitude 4.0. If there is a large earthquake, however, the aftershock sequence will produce many more earthquakes of all magnitudes for many months.

Not nearly as many as Alaska.

Hey Jerbear...

Saw where you were and had to say hi... I'm in Central PA, but I have flown out of SkySailing in Warner Springs. Have a great bunch of shots of me flying with the Salton Sea behind me. The reason I drove all the way to WS from SD was because they had a Switzer sailplane TSO'd with a 35mm out on the wing pointing at the cockpit. Had a ball! One shot was in a very steep bank, camera looking down the wing at me and to the ground directly below (in line), with me looking up and back over my shoulder at the horizon!

Also, believe it or not, here in Central PA we've had some shakers up to about a 3.0... holy crap... thought it was thunder.
