Reminds me of the river race we had back in the early 1970's in Atlanta on the Chatthooche River before it got too polluted. Over 500,000 rafters of all kinds on the river.

Us Texans take our tubing seriously. Note in the pictures there is a cooler somewhere in the group, easy access for recycling beer and there is a sling tied to the bottom of the tubes as a safety feature.

In Finland they do that every summer. In fact, they have several festivals that take place during their two weeks of summer.
