• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who plans to trade?

I have a 2013 STL.....plan to test ride the F3 November 6th...time will tell....I love my ST....have had it 1 year 8 months.....BRP finally got it running the way it should had been when I purchased it just this past June......so it's almost like a new bike...we will see...I love the look and mechanics of the F3

NO TRADE HERE

I really like the concept of the F3 but I have to agree with Flamingobabe I paid a lot of money for my STL love the looks love the performance it took longer than it should have but it is running so darn good that I am just going to enjoy this fantastic machine for a while.
I have refrained from riding the new 1330 just like I will resist riding the F3 cause then I would just have to have one.
not to mention taking a huge hit on a trade in. I am hoping that with the satisfactory fixes on the 2013 ST models that they will now hold their value better for those that do want to trade for an F3

Why..!!

are you looking for a good deal on an ST..!!:roflblack::roflblack: I have an RS and will keep her...

Trade??

I have the new airflow panels on my '13 ST-S and about $2000 worth of Farkles. It runs perfect!!! No interest in trading!!

The F-3 is kind of aimed at a different market, than the ST series of bikes.
I don't see many of you guys jumping the fence for it... ;)

I kinda Like them (F3)

But I dont think they will suit my riding style. I am kinda agressive and like to attack the corners. I dont think the riding position is suited for that. Plus it dont look to comfortable for my passenger.

:agree: And it would cost a small fortune to get all the Farkles the STL comes stock with, and in your case you have added some top notch shocks and other goodies I bet She handles real nice

Nope

Anyone thinking about trading in their ST for the F3 better look long and hard at the prices, to build one similar to the currant ST-Limited with the upgraded suspension, and all the options, you're looking at $34K, go online and build one yourself with all the options your current bike has, you'll be shocked at the prices

I'll wait until the 2016 F3's come out. No way BRP is going to catch me buying another 1st year product. :lecturef_smilie:

Your advice is good for those that are very conservative. And yes, there have been a few people that got "bit" on their first year purchases. I cannot fault you on that.

The 1330 ACE engine has worked out very well. Beta tested by lots and lots of happy customers. That engine, coupled with a lighter frame, lots of open area for cooling...I would not hesitate even though the F3 is a "first year" product, this time around.

I am one that has had good luck with my 2008 first year, 2010 first year RT and the new 2014 with the ACE 1330.

Already ordered my F3 from my dealer. Supposed to be here March/April. I will put my ST SM5 up for sale in January and hopefully it will be gone before the F3 arrives. I still have the RSS that my partner rides, so don't have to worry too much about no Spyder if it sells quick.
I have a few extra bits on my ST, as I seem to replace my Spyder every 12-18 months, I don't throw too much extra on them, it makes them attractive for resale, but realistically it doesn't get you much more when selling.
I did a build on the BRP USA site for the F3 I want with only a backrest and Screen as extras and it was around US23k. With conversion rate etc.. I will be expecting to pay somewhere around NZ33k

Love mine!

My STS has 1500 miles, has the new panels and nice get up and go.....I am not interested in trading to F3. If cruiser style was your thing at one time you may like the F3 but sport riding is what I like.
