• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Who owns the lowest Premiere Edition number...

While participating on another thread today, I started wondering what the lowest number was for the Premiere Edition Spyder owners on Spderlovers.com. To start things off, I am the proud owner of a 2008 GS with Premiere Edition number 2712. Might not be "Jay Leno" type numbers, but she has over 30K miles and is still runnin' strong & proud.

I know i'm not the lowest Premiere Edition number out there, so...Let the games begin!!!

Rhetorical question:
At what year will the '08 GS be considered a "classic"?

I have a 2008 GS and it is -0001; that's one below Jay's. It's a premiere, premiere edition and quite rare.

It's been awhile.

I believe there were about 2500++ or so of the 1500 Premier Editions made on the 2008 GS. I had a 2008 GS--but not the premier edition flavor.

I do have a Premier Edition 2010 RT-S #474.

Regarding value: Much has been discussed about PE's being worth more. Only time will tell. I did look up the difference on my 2010 Premier compared to the regular RTS since I will be shortly trading it off. Kelly Blue Book showed about a $500 advantage for the Premier on trade in. Whether or not that will play out in real life is still to be determined. I am guessing the average buyer could care less on a four year old machine. :dontknow:

We have a winner...

Wyliec...I find your bike (and the corresponding history) VERY interesting!!!
I never knew there was a Spyder (or spyders) produced before the famed #1 which belongs to Jay Leno. Looks like you are the winner, as I cannot fathom a Premiere Edition GS (or other model) lower than -0001. Is it your daily driver, or do you have it hermetically sealed in a hyperbaric chamber in a garage on some far off island?
