• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who knew?

Oh, I've know that for years! Back about 30 years ago I carried four boxes of Corelle dishes home from K-Mart on the back of my Honda 350! The clumsiest biggest load I ever carried on my Goldwing was two insulated concrete form blocks. They're 16" high by 4' long, 11" thick. I don't remember which bike, the 350, the 'wing, or a Kawa 440 but I carried a couple of 1/2" conduits on it one time!

All it takes is a little imagination, ingenuity, and daring.

Or you could spend a couple of hours sitting alongside any road in just about any Vietnamese, Indian, Phillipine, Indonesian, or Malaysian city & watching the local bikes stream past!!

Doing that'll certainly give you a very good idea of what can and what can't be carried on a motor bike....

Oh, & just FYI, the answers to those 2 questions are 1. EVERYTHING you can think of; & 2. ABSObloodyLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL!!! :yikes:

Altho I must admit I was a little dubious about the latter, until I saw the bloke with 6 goats stacked on the bike with him!!

Believe it or not--even I did that.

In the 80's when in the leather business, I used to make deliveries to the local Federal Correctional Institution. I had a Yamaha Venture Touring at the time.

The big box would be bungeed to the passenger seat. Rolls of leather hides would sit cross ways on top of the box, and smaller rolls would be bungeed to the trunk rack.

I could pack that bike up pretty good. Always got some interesting comments from the guards and the warehouse people when I made those weekly deliveries.

Used to be a Vintage M/C racer that towed his racer on a trailer behind a BMW M/C. Saw at the races in Ohio
3 cases of long neck beer bottles on a Honda 305 Dream
Couple more, but am not sure the statue of limitations has run out on them yet.
