• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who has the GloRyder wheel lights

I received the GloRyder for Christmas the question is are they to be on any time you going down the road?

You can set them in the "off" position and then they must be manually turned on. A lot of work.

You can set them in the "show" position and then they are always on. A lot of work also.

You can set them in the third position (forget the exact name) and they are sensitive to darkness and motion. In other words, they go on and off pretty much automatically when you are riding and it starts getting dark.

Hope you find this helpful.

Ditto .............

what AKSPYDERMAN said. When you have them on the Auto setting, it has to be dark enough for the sensor to tell that plus you have to be moving. When you stop, they stay on for approx. 30 secs or so. You will notice them staying on when you pull into the garage then they'll go off. Have them in white and really like them. Have the new multi-color ones on order.

Finaly got them on and took a ride yesterday during the day. The sitting is on the Glo but it still seem to be on. Also notice that just kicking the tire they will glow. Really like them and can't waiting to show them off at our dinner ride this Thursday night

Kicking the tire or any movement of the :spyder2: will activate the lights in the "auto" mode if it is dark enough.

OK, this is how it works...

Three switch settings:

OFF - 'nuff said.

GLO - on only at night and when the wheel is turning. There is a short delay of a minute or three after coming to a stop before they shut off.

SHO - on all the time.

I have found that the light sensor likely does not recognize artificial light, like that in my well-lit garage (28 4' tubes), as it does sunlight light outside during the day. My GloRyders always come on when I pull into the garage, even during the daytime. Same when I bump the wheel while in the garage.

Make sure that the light sensor is not covered by the housing. There is a possibility that you can put the circuit board in 180 degrees off and the sensor is covered by the housing. This way the unit thinks its always dark and any movement turns them on. To fix this remove the board and rotate 180 degrees.
