Who has the best price for spyder insurance?

I know this was discussed early on when the spyders came out....but looking for a new insurance company as Allstate is now charging $689 compared to back when I got my new 2008 it was $235.....this is crazy big difference.

Could you please reply back with who you have for insurance, the rate and where you live along with your age....just to get a good idea of the best company that is rating the spyders the best.

Hard question to get a good answer for.

Rates vary by state, your driving record, deductible level, age and a gazillion other factors.

Cheapest is not always the best--come claims time.

I have mine with State Farm--they have insured everything for me since 1965. I get a bundle price and they have always come through when I had any kind of claim.

It really depends on the state you live in plus many other factors - in-town, out of town, and even your type of winter weather (some insurers will only insure for months you can safely ride in the north). I found Progressive to be the cheapest for my situation here in the DFW metroplex - $681 a year with full replacement for the first four years. Get a lot of quotes and go from there.

we have progressive, 2 kawis, and 1 spyder,( somewhere around 1400 per year) but also have higher limits due to the litigious nature of people around here.

Foremost for me, just got my renewal-$276, for my 09, Progressive wanted $495 for us in Az.

Wow! All over the place. I am with Progressive via USAA and pay $560 a year and have never had a ticket in over 40 years of driving, have MC endorsement and Rider's Edge MSF course. That is with discounts after being with Progressive for over three years now.

I'm in Iowa and 43 years old and have a 2011 RS SE5 and I pay $14.50 per month through State Farm. My insurance guy says the biggest thing is that no one knows how to classify a Spyder. You can bet as more get on the road they will figure it out though. Until thenhyea::2thumbs::clap::yes:

I'm with ANPAC (American National Property & Casualty) and was surprised to learn that they classify the Spyder RT-S as a sport motorcycle, not a trike.

The result is a $547 annual premium. (100/300 with a $500 deductible on comp & collision)

Maybe I can get the classification changed. In the meantime, I will shop around to see if there is a better deal.
