I had a hard time with the left fender. It seems like it was warped alittle out of shape. I have a 15 F3S. Don't know if it has the same fenders as yours.
well like with the battery i can't get the tops of the fenders to fit right. if you align the tops the bottoms are off and same if you do the bottoms first. i think that in order to get everything to sit right, the fender needs to be off the bike so there is no pressure on it because when it is on the bike i think the fender twists. only one tab will not lock in each side, but that is for another day. i didn't take the bike apart to run the one wire up to the positive of the blinker because my back has been hurting and if i needed to leave the bike again, i wouldn't be able to ride tomorrow, so next week i will run the wires and install the LED head lamps
Did you ever figure out the battery issue?
Cuznjohn, you have me scared now to put on the CD fender lights I just received . when I put the trickled ones on my old RS they just hooked up to the front lights, real easy. I am now not sure I can install as I also have back and other problems and am afraid I will end up with an RT with no fenders:banghead:

Follow the directions and remove the wheel. You pull a few bolts from underneath but then you can actually sit in a chair and wire up the lights. It also gives you an opportunity to inspect your brake pads.
You need to get the wires to sit so they don't get pinched and that is probably the most difficult thing about the install. The top of the fender clicks into place, if you don't see the tubes that the 3 screws go into coming through the bottom then you don't have the fender positioned right
:agree: I believe that you'll need to drill a hole or two in them to feed the wires... After that; just use LOTS of tape to hold stuff in place!
No,I have a '15 RT(base mod) so I just have the slot for the light strip.if your worried see if the dealer will install them for you, you need to remove the wheel, than under the fender there are apox. 3 small screws and to larger ones. they remove the top center section where the lights go. the only problem is getting the center to sit right when it is back on the fender. like the above post said, assemble off the bike and than install fender. i think that is the way to go
Cuz,
It won't fit correctly because you did not drill the hole to run the rear wire they need to get to the front! It is sitting proud because of the wire under the support! The directions are clear - drill a hole to route the wire thru. The two torx bolts hold things down, the small screws in the plastic dress up the ends. 5 fasteners total. After dozens of them, it gets easier! Trust the instructions - they are pretty good! Joe
call me if you are still stuck: see below!

Cuz, next time I think you start with reading the directions. :roflblack:
When I bought the 13' fender kit (same as the 14') for my 12' the instructions have you build the fenders off the bike, then install the complete fender once assembled.
