• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

White RT in an Accident with a Bear - Cavendish Vt. Sun 9/29/2024

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
No, it wasn't me - But today (Sun) at 6:30 pm, a couple hit a bear on Rt 131 in Cavandish Vt. One person was seriously injured, unknown about the other. The White RT was demolished. The only thing that I could identify about it was that it had the "old" style fenders..... Mike

Bugga!! I wonder if they're members here?? :dontknow: Regardless, I hope both come thru OK!

The RT is just a thing, which with any luck is insured; but a bear could be a pretty big thing to hit, so any injuries might be pretty drastic & take a long time to recover from!

Not good to hear about, let alone be involved in! :yikes:

Prayers to all involved. I almost had a collision with one on 74 and another on the BRP in NC. It is a scary situation. Every time I hear of an accident with a large animal, I think of Doc Humphries' wife and her accident with the deer. That was definitely a sad situation and nothing that you would want to hear happening to anyone.

Hitting a German Shepherd did over 5k of damage to one of mine. Plastic parts are expensive and having to color match them to champagne added to the cost.

Had a Brother of mine from back there was killed by a bear years ago. He (on 2 wheels) was on his way to work and the bear came out of the trees and hit him broadside.
