• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whistling sound while riding at around 25mph

As long as the rpms stay above 3500; the clutches will be fully locked up and happy...
Anything else is just showing off! :roflblack:

I wonder if it could just be the wind moving across an opening in a panel but at higher speeds or RPMs the wind is forced into the opening instead of across it so no whistle?:dontknow:

Both our 09s have a high pitch sound around 25. This is a normal noise that is in all them sometimes it sounds like a gear noise and some times like a bearing, hear it in the front it is not an RPM r/t as more a speed issue you will hear it in any gear at 25. We find the shift RPM that works the best for ours is 4 to 5 as a mim.

Realy feel the noise is just harmonics my Valk had a 3rd gear noise that was normal for the bike

I have a 2010 RS SE and thankfully I have never heard this noise. The only sound I hear is the squeaking noise made by the brakes when I put it in reverse.

My shifting is not as high as listed in some of the posts. I tried the higher speeds, but mine began to feel like it was straining at 55 in 4th gear. I can't imagine going 60 or 65 before I put it in 5th gear:yikes:.

No offense... but get over it. Don't shift to fifth-gear until you hit 65 and up; and only on level terrain. You can ride all-day in 4th gear at speeds up to 65 and never see fifth-gear. As mentioned... get over what ever is suggesting you are over-straining your engine at these speeds and RPM's. You are NOT. In fact, you are hurting your Spyder by not doing this, and certainly once you get used to it you will have discovered an entirely different vehicle... that much I promise. :)

 I agree, riding to and from work speed limit 55 I never use 5th gear unless I am trying to get a ticket!
