• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just ordered ths from Buy Radar Dectectors.com and it is coming with a free heads up display for a helmet that is worth $59.00. Cost is 129.99 and it will fit where my current gas guage is (2 1/8" round). It also shows battery voltage and temperature but you can choose your own layout on the digital face. It has a remote radar antenna and a remote lazer antenna. It it fits this should be the perfect device for our bikes (I need to find out how deep the space is behind the current fuel guage). It should arrive next Monday but it may be a bit before I can install it due to cold weather hear in the great pacific northwest.

Regards,

Randy

I have this on my Spyder, mounted in a surface guage pod. You will need aan extension to mount the rear laser sensor since the wire is too short. Its a mini plug, like a stereo headphone jack.

Good to know about the extension, thankyou. Did you try to mount in the gauge location? It looks like you have something else there righ now.

I have Pioneer tweeters in the guage holes.
My rear sensor is mounted on the top of the trunk and the front one is mounted below the windshield. Temp sensor is run out and around the front trunk lid and shows true temp outside.

Well the package arrived and I hope to have it installed over then next week. I will take photos and write up some details, I just have to learn to how to post pocs on here.

Randy

The guage fits fine and there was a great spot next to it to install the LED warning light. I have taken some pics and I will do a write of the install when all the parts are in place.

Regards and Merry Christmas to all :)

Well I tried to upload the pictures (jpeg) to the album I created but it won't load them. I am waiting to hear back on whats wrong.

Regards,

Ok.. here we go. I also added the Velcro strap pictures of how I manage storage in my side bags and a pic of the marine switch I cut in to control my fog lights. I dont use the com setup.

I used 1" Velcro I bought on rolls, both male and female types. I was able to use the 4 screws in the lid that hold the outer shell on, and since they have a built in washer I did not need to add backing. I used a leather punch to make neat holes for the screws. In the main bag areas I used short black screws and stainless washers on the back and middle strap, the front one has a small bolt, nut and washer so I could keep is as far forward as possible. I allowed about 4" of overlap which secures the loads tightly. I dont have a center strap on the right side (I tend to store a half helmet in there) but I can add if ever necessary.

Regards

Randy

I just like the ones for the recesses in the lids. My BMW bags have elastic straps on the lids, so you can use both the lid and the bag for storage. It has spoiled me rotten! I may have to follow your lead and add some straps to the Spyder.
