There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. That's a fantastic area to ride - I've been all around that area, and do have some suggestions. Coming in from Lillooet is the way to get there - avoid Vancouver, if you can. Whistler itself is a tourist trap, and VERY expensive (think Aspen, CO). Send me a PM with your desired stops, and I'll shoot some recommendations to you.

BC and Alberta offer the best riding in the world (IMHO). The roads are superb, the scenery terrific, and the people friendly.

I agree. I rode my Gold Wing from PA to there every year for the last six years, then do a 2K loop thru ID, MT, BC, AB and eastern WA. Then home. Great riding.

Go online and order up a copy of "Destination Highways" for BC. They have two editions -- BC and WA. They are both invaluable motorcycle resources and spot-on in their recommendations of where to ride and what the roads are like. I've now ridden most every road they have reviewed in both BC and WA and their choices are excellent and their reviews honest. Tell the good and the bad about every road.

Depending on which direction you're coming from or leaving to, consider the Duffy Lake Road that comes into Whistler from the north. I've done it several times including the Spyder and would recommend it.

Hi Murphy,

If you come up this way, would be happy to go for a ride with you. I have not yet done the Duffy Lake Road, but plan to this summer (if we ever get 2 sunny days in a row, it will make it easier to plan trips!)

I just bought my RTS SE5 this spring, and have about 2500 km on it so far. I'm actually looking forward to coming down to Washington and riding some of your fabulous roads. I'm really looking forward to doing the Chuckanut Trail.

Hope to meet up with you sometime. I loved reading about your road trip earlier this year!

Liz :D

Hi Murphy, I agree with Rod about the road from Lillooet to Whistler it is a very scenic drive but beware....it is only 130km but it has lots of curves and hills and curves and hills and more curves. I did this trip a few years ago and it took 4 and a half hours to travel it. Another nice ride is to go around Okanagan Lake, do the whole trip around the lake and don't worry about getting hungry because if you enjoy fresh fruit you can stop every half hour at a road side stand and get all the fresh fruit you can eat. The dinner's along the way there are awesome as well. I do a trip every summer through there and love it. And yes the roads in BC and Alberta are the best in Canada and so are the people we are laid back and will help anyone out best we can. Just remember about our road construction they say we have two seasons winter and road construction. Have fun If you make it as far as the Alberta border give me a ring and I can be your tour guide of the Rockies I know all the best lakes waterfalls and a few very scary roads.
