There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Whining Noise in Front left when it is raining.

I was out riding and it started raining hard and the roads were real wet, then I started to hear a whining noise and sounds like on the left side. It's only doing this when its raining or road are wet. Its real noticeable when you accelerate but is fine when you idle the speed off. Could this be something that a brake pad or something getting wet. It does not do this when its not raining. I hear on the left side of bike but not right. Weird

IMHO, when it's WET you are less likely to hear anything from the brakes ….. Is there anything odd about that TIRE …. could water from the treads be causing this ???? ….. Mike :ohyea:

You might check the front pulley for the dreaded "red rust" that occurs when the splines on the pulley start to wear..

Our 2016 F3T had a whining noise that we thought might be the rear belt/pulley area, but our local shop checked it and replaced the front pulley (under warranty).

Just a thought..

I'd guess at it being something to do with the tire, tread, wear, &/or road spray.... but it would be just a guess! :dontknow:

Maybe check the front tires (yes, both of them) very carefully for tread wear, including measuring the tread depth remaining in every tread groove & void straight across the face of the tread in a number of places around each tire, and also check for any heel/toe or saw-tooth wear on any of the tread blocks. If your left tire is wearing more on one side of its tread, or the blocks are wearing a low rounded edge one one side with a sharp edge on the other, either across the blocks/tire face, or around the circumference of the tire, that might make for some interesting noises &/or spray patterns that could make noises if they hit any bodywork or suspension components....

I know that any abnormal wear on a tire tread can make for different & interesting noises, and those noises could be being exaggerated/amplified in the wet; but there's sooo many other things it could be too, like belts, pulleys, bearings, seals, normal road spray hitting something underneath, and a heap more besides, so it just might be a wee tad difficult narrowing the list down &/or eliminating enough possible causes to be helpful...
