It was the 36th Brass Monkey rally down here. No snow this year but cold enough to be thankful for the big fire. According to the Spyder famously accurate temp gauge was -4c (25f)
One trick I've learnt is always find someone with gold wing trike and camp on the downwind side of them. They always have a massive tent which works as a windbreak for mine
Should have brought my swimming trunks
How else do you light the fire but with a home made flame thrower - after all, what could go wrong? You'll notice everyone else keeps well clear at the stage.
