Which Ram Mount for my Spyder?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 250W. BRP stock handlebars.

Does anyone have a Ram Mount on the stock bars? Or on the clutch box?

If so, which mount did you get, and do you like it?

Since they don't list the :spyder: I'm not sure (a) which handlebar mount to get, or (b) if the clutch box mount would be better.

I would think this would work.

Or you can go with RAM-B-346U Motorcycle Reservoir Cover with 1 Inch Side Ballfrom from

Thanks guys.

The Mount Depot has a waterproof casing for the GPS systems. This is something I haven't come across, very reasonably priced, and very cool.

I've got the clutch mount resevoir mount for my TomTom Go, with the RAM arm and holder. It works very well for me.

Thanks for the picture! :2thumbs: Is that the model RAM-RC-S reservoir mount?

Hey Snickers,

The one I have is the RAM-B-346U. I wanted one with the RAM ball offset rather than in the centre. This way when I angle the mount and bracket its not interfering with the reverse lever, or too close to the horn, or turn signal.

My sister in law liked it so much, I ordered another for her Harley and her Garmin. We hope it fits on her clutch mount. But if not, we also got the U bolt too. All the RAM pieces are dirt cheap for a very quality mount!

RAM-B-346U mount

Hi,

I just purchased a RAM-B-346U mount, but the 1" ball doesn't fit the standard Garmin bracket that holds the GPS unit. Would anyone know what else to get to make this work? I think it's one of those adapters with the ball socket on both ends and then maybe something with a 1" ball on one end and a smaller ball for Garmin on the other? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

What GPS unit do you have? The factory mount/cradle would have to be changed. You can go to gpscity.com, and find the correct RAM mount. When I say mount, I'm talking about the piece that goes around the GPS; that will have a connection for a 1" ball. Then, you'll need a RAM arm.

Here's an example:

Since you were able to find this old thread, you should have no problem finding the correct mount on gpscity.com. Good luck.
