• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which of the following Highway Pegs do you recommend?

All personal - but I had a previous one from SpyderExtras like the Show Chrome pegs... I swapped those for the SpyderExtras pegs from Slindmods - rounded. I found that I like to roll my foot in different positions, which felt more natural with the round bar over a flat bar "peg."

Thank you. I know that the SpyderExtras allows the installation of the floorboard lights. How was the installation?

I also prefer the round peg for the same reason. I have an RT and made my own HW pegs for less than $10. The rubber slip ons (handlebar grips) were the most expensive part.

I purchased a set of SpyderExtras Highway pegs from a member here and like them. I have nothing to compare them to, Spyder wise, but they were pretty easy to install (less than an hour) and position for my preference. Just completed a SS1000 and used them extensively. I'm happy with them and don't see any reason to look at the others.

YMMV

I've been hesitant to install a set of these because of my height. At 6'3", when I stretch my legs out straight my feet are well forward of where the pegs would be. I'd be resting my calf or Achilles on the peg and I'm not sure how comfortable that would be.
Anyone have experience with that?

I know a guy who can cut a couple of inches out of each leg and solve that issue for you 🪚 🚁

Custom make your own, or search for the stoutest mounts produced and then have them extended to match your needs. Just don't get them too close to your front fenders. A mounting attached along the full length of the underside of the floorboards (foot pads) should provide ample support. Like a 1"x1/4" flat bar, however long you need.

I went with the show chrome on my 22RTLn because they looked just like the break pedal and I wanted them to look good as well. I don't care if I'm on the hwy or city streets; I use them all the time and love them.
