• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Which Extended Warranty do you have, likes and dislikes

I purchased the Best warrenty, it has long since run out. For me it was worth it. It saved me roughly $1,800 dollars. Bruce

My 2012 Spyder was long out of warranty when I bought it in 2015. I decided I wanted an extended and called a local powersports dealer who wrote me a 2 year warranty for my Spyder with Zurich. It came in handy and ended up paying for its self. It had a $50 deductible which didn't bother me. They covered a lot of stuff. I would use them again if the factory extended warranty was not available.

I’ve used Zurich extended coverage on my last 2 Spyders (12 RT & current 17 F3L). Have had I believe 5 claims on the 12 in 5 years, 55K miles) and once on the 17 (3.5 years, 52K miles). Never had an issue with any of the claims. They were 7 year policies and cost about $750, if memory serves me correctly. $50 deductibles for each claim.
The customer service number I’ve used is (888) 835-5063.

I have always been a fan of factory extended warranties rather than aftermarket. However, I purchased the BEST warranty and had a couple of repair items declined by BRP because they were "cosmetic." According to my dealer, approval of a warranty repair is dependent on who picks up the phone at BRP to authorize the repair. Some of the reps are more likely to deny than others. I have also learned that approval also depends on how well your dealer presents your "case" to BRP for authorization to repair. I had one repair, out of three, authorized for repair by BRP. I am not sure I would buy a BEST warranty again. BTW, the "cosmetic" repairs for my Spyder were the headlights getting hazzy on the inside of the lens and the cover for the instrument cluster failing. Both of the issues were reported "covered" by the BEST warranty by other members, but not in my case.

After mulling it over, I'm going to go with the BEST warranty. I like that it's directly associated with the manufacturer.
Question: How many here have used an extended warranty...and how many have had no problems and bought the warranty for naught.
I used my BEST warranty to replace the steering column on my 2014 RTS just before it expired. Got the process started before it expired and the dealer finished it up after. No idea what the cost would have been but I know it had to have been a several hours job. They got the handlebar aligned a bit wrong but that was a dealer problem, not warranty. Took me a year to figure out the problem and by then the dealer wouldn't fix it gratis.

I recently extended the warranty on my 2017 F3L. I purchased a two year BEST warranty via Thomas Painter at iMotorsports for $571.00. I had a three year warranty at the time I purchased this Spyder so I was only eligible for a 2 year warranty. Thomas can be reached at 630-634-8428.

Just bought 3 years of B.E.S.T. Extended warranty from Thomas Palmer @ imotorsports 630-634-8428 for $671 . Very knowledgeable person, easy to talk too and answered all my questions.

My new/2 year warranty runs until 08/29/21. I'll wait until early August before I renew. Never know if anything new/exciting from Can-Am is coming, or if the Neowing ACTUALLY goes into production :)

Tad Olsen at Olsen's Power Sports in Atlantic, IA sells BEST for less than what you lquoted.

Just saw this posted on the ADV forum I frequent from my 800 Tiger days. Some info re: RPM One warranty. YMMV..

"I know I am late to responding to the original post, but I hope my recent experience and knowledge helps someone reading this. RPMone is horrible. From what I looked into, they used to be great at honoring the warranty. However, a few months back they were purchased by some other company (Revolos), and lately, just about every claim gets rejected. I checked with a couple different service departments for bikes and generally they all see the same. RPMone was good, but now good luck getting them to pay for anything. DO NOT PAY ANYTHING FOR THEIR WARRANTY. Regrettably I did so I hope this message helps someone."
