• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which exhaust??

My choice

My RS had a BRUCE FAB...... very original sound..............it was like 175 buck plus s/h

MY RT now has spyderattitude was 300 buck and you can put any kind of tip that u want on it.....got a great idea

Stock muffler is garbage

Whats wrong with the stock muffler, I don't understand all the unnecessary mods like muffler or changing out the RSS seat only mod I did was add the fog lights. Spend money on adding things not replacing thing that are allready good enough or as the RSS seat an upgrade allready.

The stock can-am muffler limits the HP and wieghts like 20 lbs more than the after market ones!

Its all about comfort, performance and looks. If you are happy about everything your spyder has, you are one of the few lucky ones who doesn't have to mod.

However, because some like to make mods, to improve on all or some of the above, why not? It shouldn't bother you. :lecturef_smilie:

rs seat

My point is why replace somthing that is not broken, replacing muffler makes no since to me. also bigger windshield what a way to ugly up the Spyder.
dude, you haven't spent much time on a gs rs seat have you? as far as exhaust goes, why the h m exhaust is spectacular, and thrifty:thumbup: search it in mods or shoptalk.:) ps. I YANK THE CHAINS AROUND HERE. just look at my avatar.

I don't think it's about anything being wrong with the stock setup. Some People like to add mods for personal preference and to personalize there ride. I feel as you do about windshields, I like the low stock windshield over the tall one's. I actually would opt for the low sport windshield for the cooler look. Exhausts? Well the stock muffler is ok, but I like the sound off my Hindle exhaust better and get better performance out of it. Seats? Well for me, I can honestly say that I like my Corbin modular setup with the smuggler trunk, or change that for two up riding with the passenger seat addition. To me it's more comfortable than the stock seat and more versatile. Again this is just a personal preference. If your happy with your stock setup, thats a good thing. You will save money for other options that you would consider important to you.

Just got my 2012 RS-S SE5 in may so little time. How ever bigger windshield, comfort seat great for RT not necessary on the RS which is a sport version, Stop trying to turn your RS into RT if want the look and comfort of a touring model buy the touring model. As for exhaust I am sure their are better ones than the stock one but all I was trying to say is I would rather put in fog lights than change mufflers. The RS-S is perfect for what was intended(fog lights, upgrade exhaust optional) so please no saddlebags, touring windshield, backrest, instead trade it in for an RT model.

You remind me of myself when I first joined the site, so I'm going to cut you some slack. You are not saying anything new that I haven't said already before, but I have learned this from this site and I think you should memorize this as well.

Be careful of the toes you step on today......... because they might be connected to the azz your kissing tomorrow when you need help with your Spyder.

Really, so why did you get the SE5? Isn't the manual more sporty? :dontknow: i think Randy said it best in the above post :lecturef_smilie:

Upgrades allows us to personalize our Spyder to our liking or needs.
I just put a 20" Madstad on my RSS and what a difference does it make.
If I want the stock shield back on it' s only 4 screws away.

Got the backrest so I don' t have to worry if someone is riding with me.
Most of the time it's not even on.

I am not trying to change my RSS in a RT, I have a RT limited also in the back yard.

My upgrades are giving me flexibility!
:ohyea:

Thanks for yalls replies :)

I really like the look of the Hindle. Does anyone have a sound file for it? Is there a website to order the Hindle? The dealer said it had to come from a Can-Am dealer. Is that so?

The stock muffler is huge and bulky. It's got to go. It doesn't sound bad, it just has to go!

Went with a Hindle off Amazon :) Let's see how these go! Love the looks of them!

Heard the install was easy...IS IT??

I just ordered a SuperTrapp Universal/automotive muffler #443-2217 with an open end cap. $237.85 delivered. It is 17inches long, 2.25inch inlet, comes with inlet clamp and hanger, and is supposed to be able to handle 4L displacement and 250hp. Will keep you posted when it is installed. It is completely tunable. Oh, I ordered it from Summit Racing in Ohio, same day shipping. 1-800-230-3030.

try riding 600 miles in one day on your stock seat!!! :cus: if i'll ever do that again!! if your butt is feeling fine, then you've got a lot more extra padding on your butt than i do, and i've got a lot!!! nojoke mine was crying for an ultimate seat, and that's what it got. :2thumbs: that's what makes the world go round, and that's what keep guys like ultimate in business!!

fifteen minutes tops! toughest part was getting the spring back on, but once i had the right tool it only took 30 seconds! hope yours doesn't require any 02 mod or juice box. i'm on the border as to what i'm going to do. mine is backfiring with the hindle.
