Maybe I did not word my poll correctly. It's not about which one you are going to attend, if any. It's about which one, if you were going to attend all 3, would you most look forward to.

Maybe this concept just isn't going to work.... :dontknow:

You need to put on the next post HERE'S YOUR SIGN:banghead: :roflblack:

Ok, I finally voted in my own poll. Here is the way I see it.

Cowtown has been Incredible right out of the Box. Don't know how they pulled it off but the fact is, they did. Not only that but somehow they made it better last year. Again, don't know how they do it. Guaranteed to be a 'Can't Miss' event this year.

Lamont's BBQ is the only event of it's kind that I know of and has always exceeded expectations. It is a very special time and I know it will be again this year.

The BRP owner's events have never, in my humble opinion, come close to their potential. The 1st event in Valcourt came as close as any. I didn't go to the Chicago event (just couldn't bring myself to the point of trying to have fun on a Spyder in Chicago!). Maggie Valley was a big improvement and the weather was not BRP's fault (though some here may argue that point).

I know BRP has been trying hard so it isn't due to lack of effort. I know there is a home run in the BRP Owner's Event bat and I'm hoping this year will be it!

Admittedly, it's hard to choose. But I voted for the BRP Owner's Event as the one I'm most looking forward to because of the unknown factor. It isn't that I'm not looking forward to Cowtown or the BBQ. I know they will be GREAT! It's the potential of a truely great Owner's event that has me very eager this year. Durango is an excellent start and who knows what kind of middle and finish BRP will pull off.

All 3 of these events will be a One-of-a-Kind experience that is not to be missed if at all possible. If you want a sure fire thing then Cowtown or the BBQ fit the bill. If you want to roll the dice and take a change of being surprised, then the Owner's event may be for you.

All just my personal speculation. I have no more idea of what BRP is planning than anyone else here. Time will tell.

See you when you get there!

I chose SpyderFest as its the only one I will be able to attend (I know, breaking the rules). But SITR and SITA should still have been included as they are up and comers and some people can only look forward to them as its the only ones they r able to go to.

I have to agree with Ron. Spyderfest is terrific. Lots of great people and good things to do. Len and MoGang do a tremendous job. But Durango is in some of the most spectactular country in the U.S. Wait until you ride up 550 to Silverton and on to Ouray.
I though BRP did a very nice job at Maggie Valley; certainly a big improvement over Chicago. I didn't go to the first two.
I looking forward to Durango and hope I can make it.

This is going to be a great year for Spyder Events and maybe Ron should have listed them all but I think he listed the ones that he's going to try and be at, I say try because I know Ron better than anyone here. :lecturef_smilie:

Spyderfest is by far the best owners event I've been to that is put on by owners. I helped start and run a Valkyrie event called Inzane about 11 years ago and it's still going on today even though some of the folks have moved on to other bikes. It's really all about the fellowship and that's what all these events have in common. We love our Spyders and are a passionate about our rides but it's the people that make these events work. You'll be hard pressed to find a better group of people than SpyderLovers.
nojoke

As far as event's go I'm looking forward to all of them.

The BRP event for the ride there and the riding in the area. I'm sure we'll have a good time at the event but for me this one is all about the ride. :doorag:

Spyderfest is like a family reunion to me. I didn't know most of these folks when I went to the first one but now it's like I've known these folks all my life. You won't find a harder working group of folks on the planet that do it just to make sure we all have a good time while we're in their neck of the woods.

Having a dealer like Cow Town support this event is what really makes this special. They seem to work 24-7 on our Spyders and all the action going on but somehow do it with a smile on their face. I'm not sure how they can work so hard and have fun at the same time but they do it.

Having the vendors there is a huge plus for the event. I know why BRP can't have vendors at a owners event but I'm glad that Spyderfest can. This will be a great time to talk with the guys that have been promoting their products on SpyderLovers and get to touch and feel what you're thinking about laying down your hard earned money on.

BRP is stepping up and bringing the demo truck out and that's a big deal. This thing is big bucks to run and I'm glad that they felt like this was worth doing this year. I hope it will help sell more Spyders.

The Lamonster BBQ will be a good time too. I've been doing these type of BBQ's for 10 years now and the last four have been with you all. This year it will be a stand alone event and I've added a tech day to the event. I did this years ago with my Valkyrie club and it was a great time for sure. The riding in the area is great and you're sure to have a great time. The food is pretty darn good too. :doorag:

Why?

I know why BRP can't have vendors at a owners event but I'm glad that Spyderfest can.

Why is that? For years the HONDAHOOT had vendors. Even Hondadirectline and trailer mfgs. Even competitors were there and had test rides.

They are all great events but what makes SPYDERFEST & THE LAMONSTER BBQ great is :f_spider: love. The people who put this together are doing it for something they love and want to share with others. I  them all. Can't wait.

Honda Hoot was open to other brands besides Honda, is what an event created by the Honda Riders Club and Charlie Keller. As you know that event is no more. It was not like the Honda Homecoming at the factory. There were no aftermarket vendors on site there, all the vendors were outside of town.

This is a BRP event only and to have aftermarket vendors there would be a stamp of approval on the products and I'm sure there are some products they don't approve of. In this day and age where everyone is sue happy they have to cover their butts. I can't say I blame them. That's not to say that vendors couldn't setup their own event at the same time that's not on site. You would have to clear that with the city of Durango.

If you want vendors come on out to Spyderfest, it's not far from you anyway.

The other thing I forgot to add. This is a Owners Event and not open to the public. There is no cost to the owners and last year we all left with a goodie bag and a $25.00 gas card. The Hoot was an open event and a paid event.

Which event?

Spyderfest 2012 at Cowtown takes my vote, hands down.
Then I suppose a distant 2nd would be Spyder Owners Event
in Durango, CO.
Then Lamont's BBQ.
Then SITA 2012 (although I may be on my way to Alaska then)

Texas Trike Reunion. Kerrville, TX, April 5-7. Ride the hill country. No vendors, no sales booths, no fees. We have 65-75 trikes of all types each year. Come on down. Ride, eat and visit. For info: [email protected]

I choice SpyderFest for several reasons....

1. This is our first time going to SpyderFest
2. My parents will be there with their Spyder and this is the first Spyder event
3. I couldn't pick Spyders in the Redwoods (since it wasn't an option) :(
4. Since I do so much work making SITR so much of a great event for everyone else and making sure THEY are happy and having a good time, it's hard for me to relax and enjoy, which I will be able to do at SpyderFest.

See you all at either SpyderFest, Durango, and/or Spyders in the Redwoods (which, by the way, had almost 100 people it's first year despite only having 3 months of planning and a short notice for most people)

BRP last year was Good event, the riding was the best part of the event, besides the people and the BBQ
Spyderfets last year was a lot of fun, that darn 10 hours of rain was a bummer, but event was GREAT!! cant wait til April.
Cowtown had so many things to do and keep people busy and town was so receptive of the spyders.
Lamonts will always be my favorite, because of the scenery. but We love that area.
All three are great times.
