Which Battery to Buy

my 2011 Spyder rt is in need of a new battery...looking at all brands from Yuasa to Bike Master to Shoria right now leaning toward the Shoria..Expensive I know but cheap insurance if it is as good as they make it out to be..i need to know what other people think...I know I'll have to get another charger for the dead battery if that happens ..Second does Revzilla offer a discount for Spyderlovers still ...Thank you all for your opinions and help steering me in the right direction... :f_spider:

I've been buying all my batteries from BatteriesPlus for the past four years and have had good results. They are the only ones I found that have a two year replacement warranty on bike and ATV batteries. If you have a local store nearby, they usually have everything in stock.

I've bought bike, car, and power drill batteries from them.

As much as I almost hate to say it; why switch away from YUASA?
They do a pretty decent job in these bikes, and it's pretty easy to get one!
The others are much lighter... and MUCH more expensive!

+1, I am in the market as well. Our battery was completely dead the other day. Looked online and the cheapest I found was a yuasa online for $100. I just picked up a Duracell from Battery + an hour ago for $120 and got it right then with a 2 yr warranty.

For best results and longevity buy the original replacement battery because it was ultimately designed for your vehicle......You won't be disappointed :thumbup:

the consensus, and there's a fair amount of info & experience on the forum, is the Yuasa stock FACTORY SEALED battery. Not the one that is shipped dry and the chemicals added by the seller.

I believe it's the Yuasa YTX24HL , NOT the YTX24BS

Gotta say...

Have dealt with a lot of batteries in my time with dealerships shops and my own shop and have not found better than the YUASA. I would stick with the oem battery. jmo...:thumbup:

Read on a bike forum recently that Deka made one of the best.
I'm not recommending it as I know nothing about it, but tossing it out in case anyone wants to research it.

Appears Deka is US made also.

I've used Odyssey and found them to be top notch so If I were buying here is the one I'd get:

Deka and Yuasa go back and forth for bragging rights and are both solid choices.
I'm a deka fanboy simply because their plant is within riding distance and they sell cosmetic blems to the public at super discounted prices.

My personal favorite battery is Odyssey. These are high end batteries and are expensive but IMO the best. Most batteries here in AZ don't last too long because of the extreme heat. Batteries Plus used to handle them and not sure if they still do.

I've used a rebadged Odyssey called Dyna Batt in my race car. Never had a problem spinning up the 383 Cheby.
