• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where's the Light Sensor for day/night on 2016 F3T dash?

Can someone tell me where the light sensor that controls the day/night display of the dashboard resides on a 2016 F3T?

I like the nighttime display much better and can read it much more easily, even in daylight, so I would like to tape it over if possible to keep the display in night mode.

Can that be done? And if so, would there be unwanted consequences for spoofing it?

Thanks.

Many moons ago a fella on here ( Bob Denman) suggested a small circle ( 3/8" to 1/2") directed by a pencil eraser used in a lighted area and moved slowly will find the sensor on an RT dash. Then a bit of tape and you'll have the orange glow all the time. Costs nothing.

If my old memory serves me correctly, from another post years ago,
the sensor is in the left cluster somewhere around the 10 o'clock area.

I believe the photocell is located approximately where I have it indicated on the picture. Try covering that spot.
