• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where's he at?

:agree:An excellent analogy and endorsement to the "ignore" button feature.

When you have someone on your "ignore" list, and they post on a thread you are involved in,
where their post is, is now a thin section that says :

"XYZ has posted. He is on your ignore list.
click here to view his post.
click here to remove XYZ from your ignore list. "

That's it. No other effect on threads. Nothing more that I can determine.

Kudos to you for being able to tolerate that freak that's your mayor.

The bold print is the answer.

Cuznjohn....a view from the UK.

Quite honestly I never found John's posts to be in any way beyond the pale.
There seem to be people here who fall into the "entitled" category, and of course
they're entitled not to be offended. To those sensitive souls I would say "Please don't go out into
the big wide world as you will not survive." If you expect a post to be offensive to you; don't read it.

We have them here too. People who will buy a house next to a six hundred year old church and then
complain that the bells are disturbing them.
British humour, generally speaking, is a lot saltier than US humor. The vast majority tolerate it.
Some pretend to be offended just to be able to complain...I think it's the same mentality as the five
minutes of fame thing.
There again, I'm a working class type of person and thus I am crude and uneducated despite attending
a private school, being a one time member of MENSA and have more professional and educational
qualifications than most.

If YOU made any sort of complaint about Cuznjohn's posts, you seriously need to get a life and come down off
of your moral high ground and look at yourself. That is where your problems lie. Your lack of tolerance is entirely
ridiculous, anachronistic stupidity. There are one or two "Keyboard warriors" here who wouldn't dream of
complaining to someone's face but will happily sneak behind his back and knife him. Rant over.

What a coincidence, OJ.......I always thought you were crude and uneducated, too. :D:D:D

Pete
p.s. Good post:thumbup:

Since CuznJohn got rid of his Spyder I haven't read any of his posts. I almost never read anything in the Off Topic Forum instead I simply scroll by. I did see this and another post inquiring about him and I read it just because I care about what happens to others here. This forum is so G rated that I was surprised that there was anything posted that anyone would find offensive.

Question if you are banned are you able to still log in, but just not post?

If you are in a time out. same question?

Says he is not a member, just a Guest.

There are various levels you can keep people from posting and/or logging on.

you can even get ugly and randomly shift them to bogus websites when they click certain areas of a forum. All kinds of fun stuff. Lol
