• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

where's evoluzione?

Unfortunately Ken didn't see the value of having a free banner ad here enough to even say thanks. When I asked him about it instead of saying oh yea thanks he acted like he never saw it and said "if you would prefer we didn't participate on your site, please just let me know".

I like Ken and think he's a great guy and very sharp when it comes to the Spyder but I can't see promoting a company that could care less if he's here or not. All the other vendors see that this site is a great tool to market their products and to interact with their customers. That's why there is no banner to his site anymore.

That's weird.

It seems to me that some of the Spyder people are becoming quite territorial for some reason. It's his loss IMHO.

I think magic man chased him away with innovation & service.

I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about Ken's service or his innovation. He did make a comment that Evan & Matt were my "main guys" and that he didn't want to step on any toes. :dontknow:

Matt is a long time friend and he happens to own a Spyder and make some really Kewl stuff for it but the playing field is still wide open for new products and I had hope that Ken and guys like him would want to be on a board where the owners are excited about the Spyder and mods that have been done to make a great ride a better ride.

Now Magic Man is another story. Some of his products are in direct competition with Ken's and maybe the fact that he now had another player in the game of lighting and exhaust made him feel that it wasn't worth competing price wise or innovation wise. Evan has come out with some great stuff and the guy never quits thinking of ways to make the Spyder even better and his prices are great too. He's one of the most motivated guys I've ever met. I never knew of his company or him till I put up this board, but I can say that since then we have become good friends and that right there is worth a lot to me. Good friends are hard to come by and it's not all about the money with him or me, we are both very passionate about the Spyder and love making it better. That's our main common bond.

I have no ill will toward Ken at all and I wish him and his company well. He's a great guy and loves what he does, he just read me wrong for some reason and decided to move on.

The folly of abandoning this community aside- I've enjoyed doing business with Ken and I go there for anything I can't get from NoMagicNeon. This thread shouldn't discourage anyone from doing business with Evoluzione. They're a quality operation.

The gap between the two Spyder forums is enormous! I haunt both but call this my home. Too bad everyone isn't able to enjoy the community in its entirety.

Speaking of exhaust...it was mentioned in another thread that Ken at Evoluzione was no longer offering the dual setup due to cost, price, etc. I never did see it on his WEB siste.

Is anyone else working on a "reasonably" priced dual exhaust?

Thanks,

Pete
