• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where were the Spyders?

Hi to everyone this morning. As I stated last night, I rode a fair distance on my Spyder. I covered quite a few states, was gone almost 30 days and saw a grand total of 2 Spyders while on my trip. 1 was in a trailer and the other was actually motoring down the highway. My friend and I were sitting under a bridge waiting for a very severe rain to pass. To the credit of the road going spyder, they were pushing on in some really heavy rain. I wonder if the wife was having a good time. looked like a stock spyder as far as it appeared to have the factory windscreen and handlebars. This rain was in Iowa.aside from the rain, I had so many people asking about the Spyder, every gas stop was a question and answer session. At the hotels people were examining it. Lots of people have seen the commercials(I have not), but never one in person.
Had people ask if the could sit on it, listen to it run etc. I should have been getting paid for all the PR I was providing.
I like riding a 2 wheeler better, but the Spyder is a better bike for me, but where it really shines is in road construction zones, where the new lane is in and the old one has not been built up yet. Always puckered up traversing the uneven road surface. Not so with the Spyder, just ride over it like any other bump in the road.
I got reasonably good gas mileage, around 32 mpg avg. There were times when I rode it like I stole it. I don't baby this thing, but I don't abuse it either. That's it for now, still kind of digesting the trip. My one little piece of advice to those of you who worry about the reliability of the Spyder, is just get out there and ride. All bikes, cars etc. experience some problems at times. Just make decent preparations for the trip, and go have some fun!
