• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the wind on my legs coming from?

I've noticed alot of wind on my legs - where is it coming from? Seems like when I'm riding and put my left hand down there's alot of wind coming up from the road up to my hand & arms. Somehow seems to also contribute to upper body buffeting. Is this normal or are there any wind deflectors that would stop this?

scroll down to the windshutters. Good news: they widen the "calm" envelope and block the wind coming up from below/around the windscreen. Bad news: they make it a little toasty during warm days. Really best suited for cool/cold weather.

The wind on your thighs appears to ride up the body, under the notch on the cowl, and nail you. This has evidently been noticed by others, since Marcel now offers his F1 deflectors and BRP has included them with their new Ultra Touring Windshields (if they ever are released). Your hand test is as good as any. I suspect the wind flowing up the Spyder body may well add to the rider's upper body wind, but that airflow is greatly reduced with our CHAD windshield, while the wind on the thighs remains strong. The hands are better, though.

F1 windshutters

From their pix it looks like they have to attach to the F1 windshield; is that correct or can they be mounted regardless of which shield you have?

I thought the F1 windshutters mounted separate from the windshield and could be used with any windshield. I am not certain of that and they may have changed the design from when I first saw them. :dontknow:

They mount separate from the windshields. One point on the body panel bolt, below and just behind the mirror stalk; and the second, between the gap in the mirror stalk itself.
