• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the resonator?

I'm putting on JTs air filter & need to remove resonator. I don't have my manual available. I have a 2012 RS SE5.
Does some have a picture or instructions to find it? I took out the air box & baffles & now looking for resonator.
Thanx in advance.

I do not think the 2012 RS and earlier RS models have a resonator. The resonator came in 2013.

But I do not think they were installed on the RS until 2013 model year.

Have one on my '09. Didn't know what it was called till R. Roger described it.

If you took your air box out, the resonator went with it.

Here's the thing..!!

on the RS se/sm5 the air box is one piece and there is no resonator. You do need the added small breather..

20140406_122336.jpg filter and breather right side 20140406_122724.jpg filter from left side 20140502_142936.jpg oem air box removed..

Don't have pictures right now but can tear my Spyder down for pix down tomorrow if you wish. In mine, the resonator is a separate piece of large rubber dual sucking tubing that's a  to get back in the air box.

Guess it all depends on what year your Spyder is. All of the stock suck fresh air from somewhere...

If you took your airbox out, the resonator went with it.

It all depends on you if you want outside ambient air or under the tupperware ambient air getting sucked into your engine.
