• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the Purge valve on a 2015 RT?

Can someone tell me where the purge valve is located on a 2015 RT. I want to disconnect to see if it cures my hard start problem when hot.

I did my 2014 RT-S several years ago for hard starting (excessive cranking time) when hot...It fixed mine...

I remember running a vent line from the gas tank to the rear of the bike underneath...Installed a cheap lawn mower fuel filter near the back end to keep dust and trash out...As far as the purge valve goes, and for what I remember...There is a hose that goes into the air intake piping...Remove that hose a plug the hole in the air cleaner end and also plug the vacuum side...When you look at it, it becomes self explanatory...Sorry I can't do better , but its been a while...

Im also having some hot restart issues if I let the bike sit for about 15-25 minutes on a hot day and try to restart,I have to hold throttle open and crank for 10 seconds and it will start but sounds like its missfiring for a few seconds then it clears out.I thought the computer closed the throttle blades all the way for about 40 minutes to fix this problem. Is there any gas smell when undoing the purge valve?I guess youre eliminating the evap cannister also.

Yep, take that canister n throw it in the garbage. Plug the hose coming out of the purge valve with a bolt n hose clamp but leave the wires hooked to the valve.
